• Location (one-time): We request GPS access once to detect your area. This is used only to match power cut data to your location. We do not track you continuously.
• Notification token: A device identifier used solely to send you power cut alerts. This is not tied to your personal identity.
• Saved areas: The area names you choose to monitor.

Data We Do NOT Collect

• Name, email, phone number, or any personal identity
• Continuous or background location tracking
• Contacts, photos, files, or any other device data
• Browsing history or usage analytics
• Payment or financial information

How We Use Your Data

• To send push notifications about scheduled power cuts in your area
• To display relevant power cut information when you open the app
• To improve area detection accuracy

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on secure cloud servers. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

Data Deletion

Uninstalling the app removes all local data. To request deletion of server-side data, email us at tnpowercut.alert@gmail.com and we will process your request within 7 days.

Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party services for notifications and map display (Google Maps). These services have their own privacy policies. We share only the minimum data necessary for these services to function.

Children's Privacy

Our app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
