The shared load (fridge, lights, WiFi) is divided equally between everyone — you all benefit from it the same. The remaining amount is your personal usage (mostly AC), so it's divided in proportion to each person's AC hours. Someone who runs AC 8 hours pays more of the personal portion than someone who runs it 2 hours. If nobody enters AC hours, the personal portion also splits equally.
